Post From The Past

Just to get the ball rollin' (yeah! What up!) on this blog thing, I'm going to start it with a story and a day that changed my life.

I've made it a tradition that we go to Montreal on our (you'll find out later who "our" is, but i'm sure you'll figure it out before I get to that part) birthday's every year. We both absolutely love the city and as far as photography goes, there is always endless opportunities right in front of you, so of course I brought my camera.

We stayed in our usual hotel which is right downtown. We also have our favourite restaurant we ALWAYS go to (best garlic butter ever!) in Old Montreal near the port. After we had finished our meal we took a walk around the streets and ended up in the middle of Place Jacques-Cartier.

Now at this point it had been hours since I had this expensive surprise in my pocket for a little over an hour now. We had gotten to this point where we stopped, and then I looked at her and I asker her to marry me. Of course, she said yes. My life changed for so much better, not that is was bad before.

So on top of this already amazing weekend, my birthday was the next day. My parents came down to take me out for dinner. They also very much surprised me with an amazing new lens. This led to my most memorable photo ever.

Oh yeah, the rest of the weekend was pretty awesome!
